than noticed.

WHAT YOU GET

• a read-me with the install steps for iPhone and Android

• one zip, 2.6 MB, no watermark, no logo

THE FIVE

Wood — a spruce hung with gold stars and green baubles, mistletoe tucked into

the branches. Above it the five glyphs, with 木 the one lit.

Fire — a single tall flame wound in a string of warm bulbs, a crescent moon

filled with stars behind it.

Earth — a canyon at dusk: snow on the peaks, red and ochre mesas below, pines

strung with lights, the moon held in a garland.

Metal — a great pale crescent of stone, wreathed in mistletoe and hung with gold

and silver baubles.

Water — still water at dusk, rings of light opening across it, reeds and

mistletoe at the near edge.

WHAT THEY HAVE IN COMMON

Each carries a crescent moon, a string of small lights, and the element's name

set in a cartouche near the top — so the five read as one series on a home

screen instead of five unrelated pictures. Painted in ink and watercolour on

warm paper, in the same muted palette as the rest of the studio's work.

PHONE ONLY, SAID PLAINLY

These are 1080 x 1920, portrait, for a phone. There are no tablet or desktop

versions in this pack. If you want a wide version of one of them, message me and

I will compose it rather than stretch it.

HOW TO SET ONE

iPhone — save the image, open Photos, share, Use as Wallpaper

Android — save the image, long-press the home screen, Wallpapers, choose the file

The read-me repeats this with the exact menu names for each system.

ABOUT THE ART

The five elements — wood, fire, earth, metal, water — are a traditional Chinese

system of association. Nothing here is a health claim and nothing predicts

anything. They are paintings of the season.
