There is No Way to Find New Things
The universe is not what it seems. Where ordinary people see empty space and predictable stars, seven-year-old Jeffery perceives a magnificent, "logic-defying cosmos of geometric pats and shifting coins and colors." But this gift comes at a price; his world is a constant "storm of overwhelming lights and sounds," a chaotic sensory overload. To make the overwhelming noise stop, Jeffery seeks a "cure" for his autism. His quest centers on finding the "Mystical Doctor," a legendary figure rumored to hold the key to normalcy.
Joined by his telepathic cat companion, Greyson—who is literally "the keeper of his thoughts and pain"—Jeffery steps over a Fractured Threshold into an expansive, unmapped reality.
The path is not clear. The Evil Mystical Tude, a malevolent "shadow-sorcerer," stands against them. The Tude "weaponizes doubt and sensory overload," engineering impossible challenges to convince Jeffery that his unique vision is a defect and that There Is No Way to Find New Things.
Trapped between the noise of the physical world and the shadows of the mystical domain, Jeffery must stop searching for a cure and begin searching for belief. He must trust in a profound faith and raw gut instinct if he and Greyson are to survive the perils of the Tude’s domain.
