Feel like faking some stranded colourwork? The false flame stitch pattern used in this top down pullover is created through slip stitches, and only requires working with one colour at a time. You get the appearance of stranded colourwork without carrying two strands. Win win!

The yarn colour in this stitch pattern is changed every 4 rows. The number of colours is totally up to you. This can serve as a stash-buster project with many colours, or feature a more subdued palette of a few. The yardage for the edgings is given separately than the yardage for the rest of the pullover so that it can be calculated for any number of colours.

The pullover is worked from the top down with raglan seams. It is worked flat until the V Neck is joined, then is worked in the round downward. The pattern includes the option of short or long sleeves.
