یہ جو لاہور سے محبت ہے
Dr. Fakhr Abbas distinguishes himself in the realm of poetry with his humorous verses, carving out a unique identity in literature. While entertaining his audience with his witty poetry, he has also earned a significant place in serious poetry with his diverse style and subjects. Under the scrutiny of literary analysis lies his collection of serious poetry titled "Yeh Jo Lahore Se Mohabbat Hai" (The Love for Lahore), commented upon by Abbas Tabish. Tabish writes, "Dr. Fakhr Abbas has come with his serious side. The title of this collection intrigued me greatly. Even eminent figures like Ata ul Haq Qasmi have been captivated by it. The mention of Delhi in poetry has been prevalent for centuries, and then Naseer Kazmi mentioned Lahore for the first time in ghazal after migration. After that, Dr. Fakhr Abbas compensated for the forgetfulness of Lahore with this opening couplet: 'Yeh jo Lahore se mohabbat hai, yeh kisi aur se mohabbat hai' (The love for Lahore is not love for anyone else)." I have heard the ghazals from this collection. They are an excellent example of simplicity in complexity."
