Give your next paycheck a plan. A payday budgeting workbook that covers your bills first, sets money aside for what's coming, and shows one clear number for what's left to spend. Google Sheets and Excel.

Full description

You got paid. Now give it a plan.

A decent salary can still disappear before the next payday, usually because bills and paydays don't line up, not because you're bad with money. The Pay In Order workbook gives you the same short routine every payday:

  1. Start with what actually cleared. Your real take-home pay, plus any money that isn't already set aside.
  2. Cover your bills first, including part of a bigger bill that's due after your next payday (like rent on the 1st).
  3. Set aside for future costs like car repairs, renewals and gifts, a little from each paycheck.
  4. See your spending room. One clear number until your next payday. If the plan doesn't fit, you see the shortfall before you spend, not after.

What's inside

  • The workbook for Google Sheets (make-a-copy link) and Excel (.xlsx): same six tabs, same math
  • Payday: your spending room, a daily guide, and a next pay date that fills itself in (weekly, every 2 weeks, twice a month or monthly)
  • Bills: bills due now plus set-asides for later bills, with status at a glance (upcoming, due soon, overdue, paid)
  • Future costs: spreads irregular expenses across your paychecks, with progress bars
  • Spending log: track optional spending against your spending room
  • Dashboard: where this paycheck goes, plus your next bills due
  • A filled-in example with hypothetical numbers, so you can see how it works first
  • Start Here (one page) and a Customer Guide (PDF) that explains every tab

What it isn't

  • No bank connection, no logins, no subscription. Your numbers stay in your own copy.
  • Not financial advice and no guaranteed results. It's a clear, repeatable routine you run yourself.

Founding price: $19 for our first customers, then $29. One-time payment.

FAQ

Do I need Excel? No. Use the Google Sheets version (free with a Google account; you'll get a "make a copy" link), or the Excel file if you prefer.

Does it connect to my bank? No. You type in your numbers on payday. Nothing to sync, nothing to hack, and you stay aware of your money.

I get paid weekly / every two weeks / twice a month / monthly. Will it work? Yes. Pick how often you're paid and enter your pay date. The next pay date fills itself in, and you can type over it if yours differs.

Is this a subscription? No. You pay once and keep the files.

Can I share it? It's licensed for your own household. Please don't resell or share it.
