2019 Conference Climate Change & Gardens 10.4 Phil Sterling
From 2019: Phil Sterling spoke about how a cut-and-collect approach to amenity grassland management can ultimately reduce the amount of mowing (with cost reduction implications) required whilst also increasing the number of wildflowers supported by turf – all as a consequence of reducing soil fertility. This reduces emissions (as machinery use declines) and helps to increase turf biodiversity – climate positive results.
