The Chapel House Hat features a combination of ribbing and cable work to create a textured winter accessory. The patterns created take inspiration from the architecture of Harrogate Spa Town, particularly the archways and columns that feature on so many of the town’s beautiful buildings. Chapel House, which gives its name to this design, is an especially fine example of this.

Also pictured is the Chapel House Cowl.

The wearer has a 23.5” / 59 cm head circumference. The sample has been worked in size 7, giving the wearer 3.5” / 9 cm of negative ease at the headband.

CONSTRUCTION
This hat is worked bottom-up, in the round. The headband is worked in a ribbed texture, after which the hat is worked in cabled and ribbed textures. Decreases are worked at the top of the hat to shape the crown.
There are multiple options to adjust the hat height to suit your personal preference – these options are written into the pattern instructions that follow.
Please note that all cablework is both charted and written in full.
