“Take a seat, Cecil,” the man said as he got up.
Cecil gawked at him. There was something eerily familiar about him and his deep voice. He ran his eyes up and down the man’s muscular body and the expensive clothes he wore. He tried to connect this man with the one he had met twice before. He looked like an exact replica of the man he had known so intimately. But this man looked like an upgraded version of the rough gang leader.
“Do you have a twin?” Cecil blurted out.
The man laughed. “Not that I know of. Sometimes, I prefer a more… hands-on approach to particular parts of my business.” The man pushed his knuckles together, letting Cecil see some of the skin had been rubbed off. They looked like he had recently been in a fistfight, or maybe he had knocked someone down with brute force.
“Hands-on, indeed,” Cecil muttered.
“When I find something I want, I take it.” Saxon grinned at him as if he was telling Cecil something he didn’t already know.
“Does that also include kidnapping innocent men in parking garages?” Cecil flung at him.
“It might be.” Saxon winked at him. “As I said, when I want something… or someone, I take them.”
