After fascinating us for years, we finally cover Edgar the Ætheling, the only man in 1066 with a legitimate claim to the throne but did not manage to become king (twice). We enjoy putting this often sidelined character in the spotlight, tracing his early years, looking at what happened in 1066 and assessing how his claim would have been seen by contemporaries, and then how he fared under Norman rule.
