Acts Of Kindness Activities Kindness Prompts Kindness Bucket Filling Activities
This Acts of Kindness resource is a simple, printable primary SEL pack for teachers, art teachers and homeschoolers who want to build a kinder classroom community. It keeps kindness concrete and age-appropriate, so young learners can understand it and practice it right away.
Students learn what acts of kindness are, brainstorm kind things they can do for classmates, friends and family, write and draw about a kind action, and use kindness prompts and kindness cards to spread kindness in the classroom. Use it as a mini-unit or as stand-alone activities throughout the year.

HOW TO USE IT
The prompts are real, doable actions for primary students, such as playing with someone new at recess, picking up litter, asking an adult how their day has been, giving a compliment, telling someone why they're awesome, making a new friend, making a kindness note or drawing for someone, tidying the classroom, helping carry things, saying hello and smiling, letting someone go ahead in line, helping a friend clean up and inviting someone playing alone to join in. Students pull a prompt from the Kindness Jar and complete it during the school day.
For the kindness cards, the lesson plan suggests writing student names on cards, placing them in a bag and having each student draw a classmate's name to write them a kind note. The pack fits kindness week, character education, bucket filling, friendship lessons, morning meeting, positive behavior support, sub plans and homeschool kindness lessons.
