Lyra's Homeless Dæmon - DSM 10
With the help of spiritual influencers, a survivor of hydrocephalus teaches their neurosurgeon the value of a gap in the brain. Along the way to the hospital, the child learns about the inner connections of body and dæmon (soul). The story was originally rushed to market in paperback format in 2025, but in late 2026 was purportedly formatted in hard-cover for Halloween. That attempt at hardening the document's durability was sidetracked by the production of Kinley's Ćold Størage.
This fanfiction (DSM-X) begs the question, "is the human placenta the source of a person's soul, and does a Dandy-Walker malformation indicate spiritual exceptionalism?" And it's not merely fan-fiction; this ground-breaking work in Placenta-Theology is also a Ghost-Memoir.
