Lyra's Homeless Dæmon - DSM X

With the help of spiritual influencers, a survivor of hydrocephalus teaches their neurosurgeon the value of a gap in the brain. Along the way to the hospital, the child learns about the inner connections of body and dæmon (soul). (The story was originally released in the format of a zine in 2025, and in late 2026 was purportedly formatted in hard-cover. That attempt at hardening the document's durability was sidetracked by the production of Kinley's Ćold Størage. This fanfiction (DSM-X) begs the question, "is the human placenta the source of a person's soul, and does a Dandy-Walker malformation indicate spiritual exceptionalism?"
