Revelation the Novel: Beyond Fear and Prediction

The first man died before they reached the top of the hill.

Nobody stopped.

John is an old man in chains on Patmos. Rome has taken his name and given him a number. He breaks rock in a quarry and watches other prisoners fall. Then, on the Lord's Day, a voice speaks behind him. John turns, and he sees the risen Jesus.

What follows is the whole book of Revelation, told from inside John's body.

John sees seven churches trying to stay faithful under an empire that controls who can work, eat, and buy medicine. A mother is asked to affirm Caesar one time so her sick son can have medicine. A pastor learns that his church has a reputation for being alive while it is dying. A widow's name disappears from the records of the church she served.

Then the vision widens. John sees the throne and the scroll. He sees the four horsemen, the trumpets, the dragon, and the beast. He sees the bowls poured out, Babylon fall, and the Rider on the white horse.

And every time, John expects the same thing. He expects Jesus to finally stop being the Lamb and become what Rome has always been. He expects the wounded hand to become Caesar's hand.

Every time, he is wrong.

Revelation the Novel: Beyond Fear and Prediction is not a timetable of the end. It does not chart the future or tell you who the Antichrist is. It is the story of a Lamb who opens every seal with the same wounded hand. It shows what judgment looks like when the Judge never changes. And it follows ordinary people who must decide, under enormous pressure, whose they are.
