This charming mantel clock represents a classic moment in American design history: the transition into the Arts & Crafts and Mission Oak era.

Manufactured by The Sessions Clock Company in Forestville, Connecticut, this timepiece traded the elaborate Victorian carvings of previous decades for clean architectural lines and warm, rich quarter-sawn oak. The cabinet features an arched top molding, tapering side pillars, and a multi-stepped base. The door preserves its original reverse gold-gilt geometric stenciled glass tablet, creating an artful window to watch the ornate cast brass pendulum swing back and forth.
