It is not a state.

It is not a goal.

It is an inner breakthrough,

requiring no effort,

but surrender.

Joy cannot be reached:

it arises when there is nothing left to hold,

when breath expands,

when presence fully returns to the body.

It resolves nothing,

it illuminates.

It dances through simple days,

without reason, without promise —

just because it is alive.

This 36th fragment of the Genesis of Joy belongs to the Codex of Genesis,

that foundational field where each expression is an embodied archetype.

Here, joy appears as an inner passage toward alignment with oneself,

not as an emotion,

but as an original state of openness and rightness.
