By the end of this course you will have created your own programming language and also a compiler that can transform programs of your new language into TypeScript.

You will learn the 3 main processes of compilers - lexing / tokenizing, parsing, and emitting. We'll use this knowledge to build the compiler and we'll invent our own programming language - SageScript. Along the way we'll learn what a 'grammar' is and we'll define a grammar for SageScript. A grammar is just a set of rules that determines what a "correct" SageScript program looks like.

Note: One pre-requisite for this course is you should be familiar with the concept of recursion.
