Every person of faith who has grown to maturity can name the people who shaped them. A grandmother who prayed. A pastor who taught the Word. A friend who told hard truths in love. We are never self-made. We are mentored into who we become — and that is the design of God.

From Moses to Joshua, from Elijah to Elisha, from Naomi to Ruth, from Paul to Timothy — the Bible is a long story of the older and wiser passing on what they received to the younger and hungry. Jesus Himself built His ministry on mentoring: He called twelve men, walked with them, taught them, trained them, corrected them, and sent them.
