6. CRI-COM-006 — Contradictory Evidence, Competing Interpretations and Contested Claims
Description:
This Master Prompt would focus on systematically identifying and critically examining areas in which studies, theories, methods, interpretations, or recommendations disagree. It would guide researchers in mapping convergent and divergent findings, distinguishing genuine contradictions from apparent contradictions, examining competing explanations, identifying conditions under which different conclusions arise, and determining which interpretations receive stronger evidential support.
A major emphasis would be placed on preventing artificial consensus. Contradictory findings, null results, unsuccessful approaches, anomalous observations, minority interpretations, and unresolved disputes would remain visible rather than being removed to produce a smoother narrative. Researchers would investigate whether disagreements arise from differences in population, measurement, definitions, methodology, context, comparator, analytical assumptions, validation status, or evidence maturity before concluding that the literature is fundamentally inconsistent.
