This Polar Bear in a Winter Ice Burst art lesson is a seasonal winter project for elementary classrooms, homeschool families and art teachers. Using paint and oil pastels, students explore texture, layering and color contrast to create a cute polar bear in a burst of icy blues and purples.

Step-by-step instructions and visual guides help even reluctant artists feel confident, and the lesson is a low-prep way to bring the Elements of Art into your winter curriculum.
