You make music, not menus. ReaStudio takes a little effort out of the jobs you repeat all day: picking a tool, finding a setting, grouping a folder. Fewer clicks, fewer steps, less hunting.

TWO DAWS, ONE SET OF HABITS

The layout and habits follow Studio One, now Fender Studio Pro, which is where we work most days. ReaStudio is a free REAPER theme and tool set built with thanks to it, so moving between the two costs no thought.

WHAT YOU GET

- One window - tool row on top, track list and inspector on the left, tracks in the middle, transport at the bottom

- The tool row - pick a tool, click a clip, done. Quantize, timebase and snap share one box, and a macro bar keeps your favourite actions one click away

- Track list and inspector - track, clip and channel in one column, every value REAPER's own, read live

- The mixer - inserts, sends, fader, a big icon and a colour for every channel, in one row

- Folders and groups - a GROUP button on every folder track, and Folder Events so move, split and copy act on the whole group

- 53 track icons - tabla, dholak, dhol, mridangam, sitar, sarangi, santoor, bansuri, shehnai, harmonium, tanpura and veena beside the piano, strings, choir and studio mic

A REAPER theme plus panels written as REAPER scripts. Switch the theme and REAPER is stock again.

REQUIREMENTS

REAPER 7 on macOS or Windows 10/11. Three free community add-ons (ReaImGui, js_ReaScriptAPI and SWS) - the installer walks you through them, and can fetch REAPER for you if you do not have it.

WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD

One zip for Mac and Windows (8 MB): a double-click installer for each, the uninstaller and the Help guide (PDF). Unzip it, double-click the installer for your computer, done.
