Outstanding Horror Review

Bruce Palmer is about as knowledgeable about these movies as anyone else on the planet, and boy does it show in these books. Deep Cuts is a fantastic idea, hearkening back to the old-school days of VideoHound and flipping through Fangoria on the supermarket shelves. Incredibly detailed and filled with fascinating insights and facts, this is not one to be missed. As I said in my other review, I run a horror movie site myself (thehorrorrevolution.com), and I review movies there. I know how difficult this kinda thing can be, and Palmer absolutely knocks it out of the park. Highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of these movies.

Best informative and dark humor writing on these movies and games!

If your looking for a deep dive into unknown trivia and factoids about some of our all time favorite movies, this is the book for you! Told in a dark humor, tongue in cheek way, the writing is informative and entertaining. What a great way to find out hard to come by information all in one place! Can't recommend this enough! Bruce, you make our favorite movies come alive all over again! Thanks! And yes, that was a very bad zombie reference...

These books are amazing, Must have stuff for any horror fan

If you're a fan of Joe Bob Briggs/The Last Drive In/etc., you already have an idea what these books are like. What's better is that with these books, the author has free reign to cover any subjects he likes and he is able to give more detail and history on the films, etc. because he isn't limited by a television time frame. The books are FULL of information, background, behind the scenes stuff and the author writes in a very funny and entertaining style. You will feel like he is there with you as you read the book and watch the films that he covers. Very good stuff and highly recommended.

Deep Cuts: Volume 2 breaks off chunks from the horror cornucopia for all to enjoy and be amazed

Bruce Palmer, the author of the Deep Cuts volumes knows his horror. In fact, I would say he not only knows it but he's the head of the faculty of frights and things that go bump in the night.
Deep Cuts 2 is full of interesting breakdowns for films like Friday the 13th, Christine, Dementia 13 and the often overlooked 976-Evil. There's an intensive breakdown of the Background, plot and aftereffects of each film mentioned above. Much more than this Palmer injects his horror knowledge into each of these sections with fascinating tidbits of trivia and facts.
Movies aren't the only media to chew on here, there's also an expanded look at a triple of terror in the form of videogames. The interactive movie videogame from Sega called Night trap is revised extensively. Some may recall this game as Different Stroke Star Dana Plato was the main character.

Then it's on to the pretty recent first-person survival horror game Outlast. See why Bruce Palmer states " Outlast is one of the first video games to
literally, scare me and give me a palpable sense of anxiety in a very long time".
The final game that is looked at was one I personally didn't fully recall. Well, Palmer helped me fully remember it and then some. The game in question is Beast Blasters.

Film gimmicks are also explored in this volume and wow, this brought back some fond memories indeed. One thing is for sure Palmer knows his horror and he knows how to share it in a very informative and fun way.

Don't wait, just go buy this volume and the first now, you won't be disappointed
