Valea works best on well-exposed, balanced LOG footage. Like any LUT, it needs a good base to perform as intended. Footage that is extremely over or underexposed won't give the same result, as the LUT is built around clean, properly exposed source material. Get your exposure and white balance right in camera and Valea does the rest.
