Above the Noise

Above the Noise

Above the Noise explores the peace we learn to protect after living through chaos.

A silver-haired woman sits quietly upon a cloud, suspended above the world. Around her, dark washes, falling paint and bursts of fiery colour create movement and tension. Her stillness becomes the heart of the piece—a moment to breathe amid everything demanding her attention.

Shaped by lived experience, this artwork reflects the longing for space after years spent surviving. The figure’s exposed form speaks to vulnerability, while her quiet presence suggests the strength it takes to feel safe within yourself again.

Stars shine through the darkness, and soft clouds hold her above the earth. There is hope here: the possibility of finding a little distance from what overwhelms us and allowing ourselves a moment of peace.
