————————————————————————
A woman messaged me a while ago and said the Bible barely mentions women.
She wasn't angry about it.
She'd just noticed it, the way you notice a chair missing from a room.
And she'd never said it out loud in church.
She isn't wrong about the space. The men get more of it.
But space isn't the same as weight.
There's a woman in this book who gets two verses, and the family Jesus is born into doesn't survive without what she did in them.
There's a nurse who is mentioned once, never named, and a king lives because of her.
There's a girl who left her whole family on the strength of a stranger's story, and the promise to Abraham moved forward because she said three words.
They weren't left out. They were written small.
And the story doesn't hold without them.
So I went back through everything I'd written and put them in one place.
It became this book.
193 pages.
75 reflections. 49 women, from the second chapter of Genesis to the last chapters of Acts.
Made to read slow, with your Bible open next to you.
Not a summary.
The things between the lines.
Every verse in it was checked against the RSV-CE, one line at a time.
Some of them changed because of it, and I left the corrections in.
There are five drawings, one for each part.
And at the back there's a reading plan, one woman a day, plus an index of every woman and every passage.
I'm not a pastor or a scholar.
I just read it carefully and wrote down what I found.
You can read one reflection in about two minutes.
It's pay what you want.
If money's tight right now, take it for free, genuinely, no guilt.
If it meant something to you and you've got room, anything you put in helps me keep making these.
Either way, it's the same book. Hope it feeds you.
