Original one-of-a-kind mixed media cityscape signed by Elsa Ratliff.

I aimed to represent the death of man-made creations, and to highlight the impermanence of all things. Western society is often unable to directly address death, thus leading to my choice of using the buildings as a metaphor for the human body. In our culture, death is one of those taboo topics that we avoid discussing at all costs, especially at a deeper level.
