MBWA WA MWITU (Wild Dogs)

Mbwa Wa Mwitu (Wild Dogs)

Track 5 from Cheche Kuwa Moto (From a Spark to a Fire)

Mbwa Wa Mwitu (Wild Dogs) is the fifth track from Cheche Kuwa Moto - Episode 002 of The Rock and Roll Rewind Project

"No voice is wasted."

Mbwa Wa Mwitu (Wild Dogs) continues the journey of Cheche Kuwa Moto across the savannah, where people learn to listen to another voice of the land—the call of the wild dogs.

The sounds of the pack are more than noise. One dog calls, another answers, and together they communicate, hunt and move as one. Listening to their voices reveals the natural power of call and response, where every sound has meaning and every individual voice contributes to something greater.

Blending African-inspired rhythm and voice with authentic song orchestration and contemporary production, Mbwa Wa Mwitu celebrates communication, cooperation and the rhythm of the pack—the idea that every voice belongs, every voice has purpose, and no voice is wasted.

A NOTE ON CULTURE AND STORYTELLING

Cheche Kuwa Moto is an original work of musical storytelling inspired by African musical traditions, rhythms, languages and cultural influences.

The Rock and Roll Rewind Project recognises that these traditions belong to diverse peoples and cultures with histories and lived experiences far deeper than can be represented within a single musical project.

The use of African and Swahili-inspired language, musical and spiritual ideas and storytelling within Cheche Kuwa Moto is intended as an acknowledgement and celebration of those cultural influences, not as an attempt to claim ownership of them or to speak on behalf of the people and communities from which they originate.

Through original music and storytelling, The Rock and Roll Rewind Project seeks to explore, acknowledge and celebrate the extraordinary cultural influences that have contributed to the continuing story of music.
