About the author:
My name is Dudley De Silva, I am from the beautiful costal town of Tangelle in Sri Lanka. For more than 20 years, I have worked as a tour guide in Sri Lanka, welcoming people from around the world and sharing the beauty of my home.
In 2017, I opened Dudley’s Magic Kitchen in my home, because I wanted to share something even more personal—our food. Cooking has always been part of my life, and it brings me great happiness to cook for others and pass on the recipes I grew up with.
My journey has not always been easy. I have lived through the tsunami, difficult years that followed, and personal health challenges. But through everything, I have tried to keep smiling, stay strong, and remain grateful.
Food has always given me comfort, strength, and connection. With this book, I am happy to share these recipes from my heart and my kitchen with you, and I hope they bring warmth, joy, and a taste of Sri Lanka into your home.
