About:
Years ago when my mom was still with us, my family traveled to Ireland to visit her family and see firsthand our heritage. It was a wonderful trip and one I hope to give to my own daughter someday. One of the places we spent a lot of time at was Cushlough House, my Aunt Maisie’s Bed & Breakfast. It was as welcoming as she was! The house overlooks Glendalough Lake and is surrounded by gorgeous gardens that beckon one to stroll along the paths. Often a turf fire was burning in the parlor that had me eager to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea. When I go back, it will surely be the place I sit and knit the afternoon away.

These memories and my Aunt inspired the Cushlough Wrap. It is a lovely textured rectangular wrap to casually drape across your shoulders on cool mornings, bundle around your neck on cold winter days, warm your lap while snuggled with a loved one or even worn as a shawl while out on an adventure. It is a timeless design, easy enough for a confident beginner but with enough interest to keep a more advanced knitter engaged. However you wear it and wherever you may be, it’s my hope this wrap will envelop you with as much love and warmth as I felt during my stay at Cushlough House.
