Crumbleton Farm - Recipes for Life
In 2018 a family from suburban New South Wales, Australia, bought a rundown 100 acre farm on the island of Tasmania. With no prior farming experience and significant health challenges, they have restored the pasture and successfully raise sheep for the local market. Despite heartbreaking failures, insect plagues, catastrophic weather conditions and health issues, they have learned a lot about how the health of our soils - the complex ecology under our feet - affects human health and happiness. This is a very special book because it not only documents the challenges of modern farming, but also includes recipes for ordinary things, such as household products you can make yourself, and, delightfully, a collection of personal, family recipes from people all over the world. From Europe, Scandinavia, the UK and Australia, handed down the generations, each tells a little story of family love.
