uwu2x Extension - Upscaling and Interpolation inside After Effects

You'll need After Effects 2021 (version 18.4.1 Build 4) or a newer version !

uwu2x is an extension for After Effects that does two important things : it makes your clips bigger (ex: 1080p to 4K or 8K, also known as upscaling) and smoother (ex: 24fps to 240fps, also known as interpolation), similar to what Topaz and Flowframes do.

Here's why it's great :

- it's fully integrated into After Effects as a panel, so you don't need to manually render clips or use external software anymore ;

- uwu2x has two special AI models just for anime clips, which Topaz doesn't have ;

- it uses the latest version of RIFE, unlike the free version of Flowframes, which uses older versions that aren't as good or fast ;

- installing uwu2x is easy. You just drag and drop it into the extensions folder of After Effects. Plus, it's more stable and has a simpler interface now that it's an extension.

Warnings:

- you'll need After Effects 2021 (version 18.4.1 Build 4) or a newer version ;

- avoid using the script to upscale or interpolate your entire edit at once. The AI models are trained on raw anime clips, not edits.
