Since ancient times, sayings have been passed down to us about things our ancestors noticed but could not explain. They did not need to explain them; they simply acted in accordance with them.

Something similar can be seen in what we today call superstition—for example, the belief that if you turn up the volume on the TV to a certain level, your favorite athlete will win the match. People sensed that there was another kind of cause-and-effect dynamic at work, beyond the everyday one we learn about through formal education.

For people in earlier times, there was no such distinction; sayings served as guides in certain moments of their lives. The author attempts to explain this dynamic of our reality.
