Eastry, Dover Road and Lower Street

This 15 minute film starts on the Dover Road approach to Eastry with views taken in 2022 and including photographs from earlier times, some as early as the 1870s, this aspect had changed very little over the last 150 years until the demolition of the old Poor House (later known as Eastry hospital).

Also included are views of the pond during various times of drought and flood and Eastry Cottage Homes, the former children's home, now private houses. From the pond the film shows how many of the properties on Lower Street through the years.
