Blackwork Hearts Embroidery Sampler

A blackwork sampler with a difference! This design was inspired by a tudor silk embroidery where each heart contained a different flower. I adapted the heart-shaped framework and turned it into a blackwork sampler with a different pattern in each heart.

This pattern also contains the option of stitching one heart on its own to create a small gift or greeting card – perfect for Valentines or weddings!

• Stitch count: 103 x 127
• Size on 25-count fabric: 8.3 x 10.2 inches (21 x 26cm)
• Threads: Your choice of red thread and metallic gold
• Technique: whole cross stitch and back stitch
