I’ll walk around your property, tell you what I find, provide notes after the visit, and supply you with personalized resources to support your continued learning and exploration.

Through StagPath, I specialize in identifying plants native and introduced to Ohio—including invasive species and wild edibles. While I’m not a specialist in ornamental garden plants, I’m always happy to take a look at anything you're curious about—I'm probably curious too!

I can also assist with identifying mushrooms, insects, bones, rocks, fossils, and more.

Please note: On occasion, I may bring a trusted assistant along to help with fieldwork, note-taking, or photography, depending on the needs of your property.

The base rate is $300, which includes:

-A walkthrough of your greenspace

-Initial identification services during the visit

-Time spent assessing your needs and planning your follow-up notes & resources

Depending on the scale of your greenspace, you may be billed an additional $100 for every extra hour spent assessing the landscape. If you do not want me to assess an entire area or if you do not want me to run over the initial hour and a half included in your purchase, just let me know and I will honor your request.

After you complete the intake form, I’ll review your responses and determine whether additional charges may apply—based on factors like travel time, property size, or the complexity of ID requests. I’ll let you know the estimate so you can confirm whether you’d like to proceed.

You’ll receive a final bill after the visit. Once the remaining balance is paid, I’ll send you a customized collection of resources based on your property and goals.

You’ll be amazed how quickly you start recognizing the wildflowers near your porch or identifying the edible plants growing in your woods or fields. StagPath is here to help you become the naturalist of your own land.

Where does this StagPath Discovery Tour take place?

Your StagPath Discovery Tour may take place at the location of your choosing anywhere in central Ohio you'd like to learn more about your surroundings, whether that’s your backyard, farm, woodlot, business landscaping, or even your favorite local park.

How do I schedule the consultation?

After booking, you’ll be directed to a document containing the next steps, including filling out a form to help me get to know your land and your goals. Once that’s submitted, you’ll receive a scheduling link via TidyCal to choose a time that works best for you. If you ever need to reschedule, that same link makes it easy.

What if I need to reschedule?

No worries—life happens! You can revisit your original TidyCal confirmation email and use the link provided to reschedule your tour. It’s quick and easy. And if the weather’s a concern, just reach out—we can always find a better day. I do appreciate a heads up so that I can plan accordingly if you know ahead of time that you'll need to change plans.

Should I bring anything?

In general, you don't need to bring anything to a StagPath Discovery Tour because I will be supplying you with notes & resources within 1-2 weeks after the session takes place. You are welcome to bring a notebook if you like, and of course wear whatever is comfortable for you if you're joining me, and it's never a bad idea to bring along a water for yourself.
