A grip controller with a round AMOLED touchscreen in the head. There is nothing like this on the market - so build it.

The GHOST Joystick is built around the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-1.75: a 1.75" round AMOLED touch display with the ESP32-S3 on the same board. Five illuminated buttons run through an MCP23017 expander. The removable grip wraps in your choice of suede, Alcantara, or leather. The multi-screen UI ships ready to flash.

WHAT YOU GET

  • All STLs with exact screw callouts
  • Full ESP32-S3 firmware — multi-screen AMOLED UI, source + basic precompiled
  • Professional Bill of Materials (PDF) with specs and price estimates
  • Wiring notes and a step-by-step build video
  • All future updates included, free

THE BUILD

  • Parts cost: $55–90 - the $30 AMOLED display board is the star of the show
  • Build time: ~3 hours after printing - less if you've built before
  • Print in any material - ASA-CF is the reference spec

BUILT TO BE YOURS The firmware is written for the GHOST aircraft, and it ships as full source - run it stock, or hand it to Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI and rework it for whatever you're building. The bottom mount is intentionally open: no fixed base, no assumptions. Design your own adapter and bolt this grip onto a sim gimbal, a desk mount, or anything else you can model.

WHAT YOU NEED 3D printer access, a soldering iron, a precision screwdriver set, a hot glue gun, and a computer + USB-C cable.

Personal use license. Files may not be redistributed or resold — see LICENSE.txt.

→ Add the pedals for the complete package — the bundle is $99 for both, save $51.
