Venus Coat is a real statement piece! The flared body has lots of open lace work to ensure the coat does not get too heavy. The fitted bodice, high waistline and slight puff sleeve are inspired by empire line gowns. The knitting pattern includes full written instructions and schematic with measurements.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL)
To fit bust (your actual bust measurement):
73 (83, 93, 102.5, 112) cm.
29 (33, 37, 41, 44) “.
Yarn: Sports weight/DK. Sample is knitted using Purl Alpaca Designs 100% pure alpaca Fine yarn (sports weight), 115m/50g: 13 (15, 17, 19, 21) balls.
Tension: 20 sts and 29 rows to 10 cm square over Stocking Stitch using 4mm needles.
Needles: Knitted on 3.5 and 4 mm straight needles. 5mm circular needles with long cord - 120cm or longer.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 3 small buttons, darning needle for sewing up.
