Calma Summer Skirt

This is my first low waste pattern offering! The Calma Summer Skirt is a semi-fitted mermaid style skirt, with a below hip flounce that is gathered. The front skirt has a front bowtie detail. There is a side zipper closure to get the skirt on and off. 

The skirt has optional elastic in the front waistband to ensure the skirt is fitted well to your body (depending on body shape). If you choose to omit the elastic, you can create some tucks or pleats.

This is a beginner-friendly project. You will need to have patience with yourself to sew this skirt. I highly recommend you read and re-read the pattern before commencing.  I always make a toile version to ensure I am getting the fit correct.
