A subtly textured unisex hat. This quick knit, needing just one 50g skein, makes a great gift knit and is also the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some luxurious yarn.

Although one of the recommended yarns is the discontinued Askham 4ply, it would be just as good in many other of our 4ply yarns. The last image shows this pattern made with Hayton 4ply in Purple Rain.

Eden Cottage Yarns Milburn 4ply (4ply/Fingering; 85% bluefaced leicester, 15% silk; 200m/218yds per 50g skein)
Shade: Damson; 1 x 50g skein

Needles and accessories:
2.75mm (US2) knitting needles suitable for working in the round; 80cm (24 in) for magic loop or 40cm (12 in) short circular and double pointed needles for crown decreases.
