Valentines Day Art Activity Valentines Finish the Picture Creativity Challenges
This Valentines Day Finish the Picture resource gives students partially started Valentine-themed drawings to complete with their own ideas. Students continue the image, fill the page, and then color or shade their finished artwork.
It is a low-prep February activity for classroom teachers, art teachers, substitute teachers and homeschool families. The pages are open-ended, so the same starting point can go in all sorts of directions, and the playful imagery of hearts, sweet animals and love-inspired prompts keeps students engaged.

HOW TO USE IT
For a quick activity, students can complete one page in a single class. For a fuller Valentines Day art lesson, students can explore crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolor, oil pastels or mixed media, add details and backgrounds, and complete several pages over time.
The pages also work as a fast finisher activity, bell ringer, sub plan, drawing warm-up, brain break, art center, morning work or homeschool art activity. As students turn a partial image into a complete composition, they practice imagination, creative thinking, visual problem solving and artistic decision making.
