Praxis Crossbody PDF Sewing Pattern

This is a simple project suitable for beginner bag makers. Praxis is a small yet stylish crossbody approximately 8.75” (22.2cm) in width, 6” (15.2cm) in height, with a front slip and zip pocket and top zip closure. Praxis requires one zipper for the top closure and one for the front zip pocket, and two D rings, two lobster/swivel clasps, and a triglide for the straps. You can use either 1” (2.5cm) hardware or 3/4” (2cm) hardware along with a 1” (2.5cm) or a 3/4" (2cm) strap at your preference.

Praxis can be made in a variety of fabric bases, including woven cotton, canvas and vinyl.  

I recommend interfacing all woven and canvas exterior pieces in full using a lightweight woven interfacing. You may also wish to add additional interfacing to your back panel, front top piece and/or flap depending on your choice of base, and separate slightly smaller pattern pieces for this are included to minimise bulk in your seams. This project can be made by printing all the pattern pieces or by using the measurements in the table found in the pattern document for rectangular pieces, and printing the three shaped pieces only. Due to its size, Praxis is an awesome scrapbuster and you can create many different looks by mixing different prints across the pieces - as you will see from the tester images!
