Freshly Mowed Lawn

Like the stripes that occur naturally on a freshly mowed yard, this blanket uses greens that are just a shade or two apart.  The dark edges are meant to represent trees or bushes around the perimeter of a yard and the ruffles represent the cut grass that is blown out of a mower without a catcher on it.

The tight weave of the Tunisian crochet makes this small blanket a powerhouse of warmth.  The smooth underside keeps the heat close to the body while the ruffly top adds a gently whimsical decoration.  This blanket can be loved by your family for years as a baby blanket or a lap blanket.
