Greek Aspis Shield

The Aspis shield, a wooden shield with the outside coated in bronze / leather. The Aspis was primarily used for the phalanx formation, where it was a crucial equipment for maintaining formation, and protection from its large size. Prominent among the Greek Hoplites and heavy infantry.
