The Standard: What young men need before the world teaches them wrong.
About the Author
Carl Wesley, M.Ed., is an educator, mentor, author, and advocate for young men.
He created The Standard to help bridge the gap for young people growing up in a world shaped by social media, digital influence, music, school environments, community pressure, and the absence of consistent wisdom from parents, grandparents, and elders.
Drawing from real-life experiences, classroom insight, and years of working with youth, Carl writes with honesty, conviction, and practical wisdom. His message is rooted in real stories, real lessons, and a deep desire to help young men understand how to think, how to move, and how to carry themselves with purpose.
Although The Standard speaks directly to young men, its lessons reach beyond age, gender, race, or background. The principles of discipline, self-respect, accountability, emotional control, decision-making, leadership, and purpose are life lessons anyone can apply.
Carl believes every person needs a standard to live by, and this book was written to help them find it.
