Midnight at the Ichnologist's Ball (a short story)
The past is a dream. The distant past is a vision, a mystical vision that only a few can see. These few use exotic discipline-- math, archeology, physics-- to catch glimpses of a different world. But how do they understand what they find? And how do they explain these visions to others...especially after hours, at a bar, in the rain?
That's what this short story explores (and it may be the only story out there with the word "ichnologist" in the title).
You'll notice that there is no minimum price set for this story.
I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
