String Along

DESCRIPTION

String Along shawl is an asymmetric triangle shawl that is worked from one corner to the other using short rows and increases which shape and elongate gradually as you work.  The slip stitches create texture and with an i-cord edging, it gives a nice, clean finish and helps to hide and carry the non-working yarns inside. 
This pattern comes in one size and uses 3 colors in fingering weight yarn.
This design was part of the "Wisp" collection by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers which is a collection of 8 knitwear and 1 crochet patterns.  A booklet form is available to purchase at The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers' website and a kit can also be purchased separately here.

YARN

This shawl is made with The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers in their Foxy Lady yarn (70% Superwash merino 30% Silk, single ply; 428 yd / 391 m per 100 g), using 1 skein each in the following colors;
Color A in colorway Whiskey Butte.
Color B in colorway Hill Country.
Color C in colorway Eagle Eye.

You can also use any fingering weight yarn in the following approximate yardage/meterage;
Color A (lightest color): 330 yd / 302 m.
Color B (medium color): 380 yd / 348 m.
Color C (darkest color): 400 yd / 365 m.

Finished Measurements: 
Approx. 90" / 229 cm wide x 25" / 64 cm deep

Gauge:
25 sts and 44 rows for 4” / 10 cm in Garter stitch knit flat after blocking.

Needles:
US 3 (3.25mm) needle
(Use needle size necessary to obtain gauge)

Notions:
Stitch marker & tapestry needle
