The Thing Under the Rug (a short story)
When you're a kid, the world is a magical place. Games matter, and the dividing line between imagination and reality is porous and shifting. Do kids really know what's real and what's pretend?
This short piece tells a story about a situation in which a childhood game becomes real. Frighteningly, disgustingly real.

I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
