JERONIMONEY
The JeroniMoney Wallet is the new addition to the Jeronimo family.
In 2021 the Jeronimo Messenger Bag was released. Two years later the bigger brother JeroniMore was added to the family and now it is time for the JeroniMoney: a wallet in the style of the Jeronimo and JeroniMore.
The JeroniMoney is a trifold wallet that is the perfect size for the Jeronimo and JeroniMore bags. The wallet is designed to hold credit cards, bills, a checkbook and/or coins.
Just like its siblings, the exterior of the JeroniMoney has a slanted flap and a zippered back pocket. The flap is safely closed by two metal snaps.
DESIGN YOUR OWN INTERIOR
This wallet offers a unique feature allowing you to personalize the interior to suit your needs and preference. There are three options to choose from:
Option A: Panel with Credit Card Slots
- provides space for 7 credit cards
Option B: Bill Pocket with Slip Pocket on top
- provides space for bills and 1 credit card
Option C: Bill Pocket with Credit Cards on top
- provides space for bills and 7 credit cards
To choose the most suitable combination of options, evaluate how many credit cards, bills and additional items you like to carry on a daily basis. Determine whether you like your wallet to be thin or if you’re willing to sacrifice thickness for additional storage space for other items like a checkbook. Finally, think of your preferred payment method, cards vs cash.
Based on these considerations, you can mix and match the options to create a custom interior that meets your own needs.
DIMENSIONS
The finished dimensions of the JeroniMoney Wallet are:
W 7” (18 cm)
H 4” (10 cm)
D 1/2” (1.3 cm)
SEWING LEVEL
Sewing level is rated as adventurous beginner to intermediate.
RECOMMENDED MATERIALS
The JeroniMoney Wallet is a raw edge wallet and just like its siblings, the Jeronimo and JeroniMore, the wallet is designed for use of 3 oz leather. If you are not familiar with sewing leather, you can make this wallet from vinyl or cork as well.
The wallet is a perfect scrap buster and comes together quickly because of the no-sew method for the card slots. However, if you don’t use the recommended materials, you first have to perform a ‘stickability test’. The instructions will explain you how to do this test.
Lining material should be cut from thin leather. I recommend pigskin because it looks high end, is thin and doesn’t add much bulk to the seams. If you make your wallet from vinyl or cork, you can use a thin vinyl or cork for your lining.
For the card slot fabric Tyvek material is recommended. This material is very thin, durable and is the only material that works really well with the no-sew method for the card slots that is described in the pattern.
