A Trip to Marrow-bone (Paul Hutchinson) SATB Sax Quartet arr. Chris Lawry
A Trip to Marrow-bone is a track by Paul Hutchinson which featured on the album The Irish Howle by Paul Hutchinson and John Hymas, inspired by the tune dating back to the 1651 John Playford publication 'The English Dancing Master'.
Here it is arranged for SATB Saxophone Quartet by Chris Lawry. This could be paired with the tune 'The Anti-Foxhunter's Jig' with the opening Soprano Sax note linking the end of the former and the start of this tune.
It would suit an intermediate+ ensemble and would make a wonderful concert item.
The publication is supplied as a PDF which contains the full score and instrumental parts.
