AI Unlocked: Ethics, Power, & Possibility
Imagine this: you walk into class, and the teacher asks, “Who used AI today?” A few hands go up. Then they say, “Who used TikTok? Spotify? Face ID? Snapchat?” Suddenly, every hand in the room is raised. That’s the moment you realize: AI isn’t some future robot takeover. It’s already here. In your pocket. In your feed. In your everyday life.
This course isn’t about memorizing tech jargon. It’s about pulling back the curtain. We’ll ask the big questions: How does AI actually learn? Why does it need more data than a small country can produce? And what happens when that data is biased — when the hand dryer can’t “see” darker skin, or the hiring tool silently filters out women? You’ll see that AI doesn’t just reflect the best of us. It reflects the worst of us too — unless we decide to do something about it.
But here’s the twist: AI doesn’t get the last word. You do. This course will show you how to stay in the driver’s seat. You’ll learn the Billboard Test for digital safety (if you wouldn’t want it plastered on a wall, don’t type it in). You’ll design your own Study Buddy Avatar — a safe digital identity for all your AI interactions. You’ll even create a Master Prompt that trains AI to speak in your voice, not some generic robot tone.
By the end, you won’t just understand AI. You’ll command it. You’ll know when it’s helping you think — and when it’s trying to think for you. You’ll leave with tools to protect your privacy, sharpen your learning, and walk with confidence in a world where machines learn fast but humans must lead.
Because AI may learn from patterns, but only you can set the purpose. And that purpose is what makes you unstoppable.
