Synopsis:

Enframement is the systemized value constraint that centralizing productive use places on the world. All things are standing in reserve, waiting to be utilized. Rivers become sources of hydraulic energy, forests become lumber, and people become human resources.

 Objects without use are categorized as waste.

In today’s world, this is an almost ubiquitous perspective. Universally internalized without being investigated.

This is a story about what happens when one loses one’s use value. To be unproductive is to cease to have a reason to be.

In such a world, one would do anything to regain one’s use -- even if it meant sacrificing one’s soul.
