RAPHA
After the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt, they wandered in the Desert of Shur for three days, desperately needing water. They found a river, but the water was bitter and undrinkable. God miraculously cleansed the waters by instructing Moses to throw a piece of wood into it, making it suitable for consumption. In this moment, God declared Himself as Jehovah-Rapha, saying, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you” (Exodus 15:26).
Healing Manifestations: God’s healing power as Jehovah-Rapha is evident in various ways:
- Healing from sickness and infirmity (Psalm 41:3).
- Restoration from mental affliction (Jonah 2:5-7).
- Renewal from spiritual fatigue (Psalm 23:3).
- Comfort for emotional suffering (Psalm 147:3).
- Assurance against anxiety or worry (John 14:27).
